It’s nearly Pride Month in the United States, but how can you celebrate with all this self-isolating? By blasting gay anthems, of course!
Far too many lists of gay anthems are very broad in their selections. They tend to mix in songs that subtly allude to the queer cause. Or they’re simply just “camp” melodies.
Honestly, I’m a little fed up about it…
Gay anthems need to scream gay pride! So I’ve selected these sassy homosexual anthems that are unapologetic and raw.

“OK2BGAY” by Tomboy
I’m still surprised that this didn’t become an anthem when it was released in 2006. “OK2BGAY” is just so camp and unapologetically queer. The perfect way to start this list!
“I Like Boys” by Todrick Hall (E)
Todrick Hall is the queen of sass and cares little for figurative eggshells. You may know him from his track Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels, which is another great queer anthem of his.
“Follow Your Arrow” by Kacey Musgrave
One YouTube commenter put it best: “Remember when Kacey Musgraves invented gay rights in the south!” It may not be outrageously sassy, but it gets the message across.

What a way to finish off this list! “I Just Wanna Fucking Dance” has become an anthem for gay nightclubs across the world. It may not be explicitly gay, but it’s meaning is felt. “I don’t give a fuck no more if people think I am a whore.”
